I'm pleased to announce that we are now incorporated in New York State as a non-profit organization. With that hurdle crossed we were finally able to open a bank account and we now have an official mailing address!
We are happy to announce that an author from Sisters in Crime Speakers Bureau will be giving a presentation at our June meeting. Join us June 1, 2019 at the Lewiston Public Library as author Laura DiSilverio delivers a presentation entitled, "No Pain, No Gain: Increasing Conflict in Your Novel". The meeting starts at 1pm at the Lewiston Public Library: 305 S 8th Street, Lewiston, NY 14092 A retired Air Force intelligence officer, Laura DiSilverio is the national bestselling and award-winning author of 21 mystery, suspense and young adult sci-fi novels. She has written four cozy series for various Penguin imprints, and the Swift Investigations books, a humorous private investigator series, for St. Martin's Minotaur. Library Journal named Close Call one of the Top Five mysteries of 2016, and The Reckoning Stones won the Colorado Book Award for Mystery in 2016. Incubation, the first book of her self-pubbed young adult dystopian trilogy, is an Amazon bestseller that was published in France (and other French speaking countries) by City Editions. A Past President of Sisters in Crime, she taught for Mystery Writers of America's Mystery University, and teaches writing at Writer's Digest conferences and in other venues.

The Murder on Ice chapter will be celebrating the 30th birthday of Sisters in Crime with a special event, an interactive murder mystery called Murder at the Book Signing. Tickets will go on sale soon, but right now we have space for a few more guest authors. Date: Saturday,May 20th Location: The Winery at Marjim Manor, http://www.marjimmanor.com/ Time: TBD Attending authors will participate in an interactive murder mystery for the ticketed guests, followed by a book signing.
